Character History: Sofia Sartor was the daughter of a nice venetian couple, and was born in the year 1476. She ended up living in the Venetian quarter in the city with both of her parents. But the Ottoman-Venetian conflict changed a lot of things. Most people that lived within the city were in great danger. Which forced Sofia and her parents to get away and to go to Italy. It was hard to leave but the safety of the family had to continue. There life there had never been easy, she just hoped that things here would be changed for them. A chance to start over.
In the year 1505 her father found and commissioned a German Artist by the name Albrecht Dürer to create a portrait of herself as a gift. It was to be a gift on her twenty-eighth birthday, her father offered any price tot he artist. But when the artiest met his daughter Sofia. He refused any offering price. Saying that the chance to paint her likeness was payment enough. Later on in the year 1507 she ended up going back to Constantinople to run a bookshop, that was previously owned by her own father.
She wanted to spread the knowledge that she knew amongst the poor Ottoman people. But then something happened. In the year 1511 she came back home from a trip that was in Rhodes, she was on the same boat with Suleiman and Ezio Auditore. Who was actually the mentor of the assassins. But she had no knowledge of it. Her building was actually a trading post of Niccolo and Maffeo Polo, who ended up founding the Turkish sect of the assassin order. Later on she ended up meeting Ezio Auditore who was searching for the Masyaf Keys. Hoping for the information would be there for him.
Ezio ended up going into her shop looking around for a hidden passageway that would lead to the Yerebatan Cistem. She went back to work, and once he returned he shared the findings to Sofia, which was a map and one of the five keys he was looking for. A map he ended up finding that showed locations of rare books. Which Sofia found very interesting and was fascinated by it. Ezio believed that the books would hold the clues to where the other keys would be. So he ended up asking Sofia if she could help him.
So she could deduce the location of the books, by deciphering the map for him. And Sofia ended up agreeing to it, and in return she asked Ezio if she could borrow the books from him once he was done. Both agreeing that was when her journey would truly begin.
