He also carries a reversed-blade katana beneath his sash on his left side. Kenshin also has a 'X' shaped scar on his left cheek. Kenshin also has a slim muscular build about him.

Character History (300 words at least):

Once known as Hitokiri Battousai the Manslayer, Kenshin Himura was a lethal assassin trained in the art of killing. His status as Battousai had become legendary throughout the Mejii Era of Japan. Kenshin had taken an oath to never kill an innocent person or any form of life ever again and abandoned his title of Battousai. Seeking to redeem himself for his murderous past, Kenshin had become a wanderer and had vowed to protect the innocent with his sword. While on his travels as a wanderer, Kenshin had met a woman named Kaoru Kamiya who was the head of a Dojo. Kenshin had taken up residence in Kaoru's Dojo and had made many friends and soon had fallen in love with Kaoru. Kenshin vowed on his life that he would protect his friends from those who sought to harm them. Kenshin had also made many enemies and rivals, including Sanosuke Sagara. Sanosuke had become Kenshin's rival, while his friend, as the two would battle one another for sport. Kenshin continued to become plagued and haunted by memories from his past as he often remembered his former wife Tomoe who had died by his hands. Kenshin, since then had regretted his past and prayed to avenge his wife in hopes she would forgive him.

As he lived his life with Kaoru, Kenshin would go on many adventures with his friends as he defended the innocent people of the Tokogawa-Era Japan. Kenshin had encountered many enemies including Jinei, Saito among others. Kenshin utilizes a technique called the Hiten-Mitsurugi-ryu, a technique that is fast and agile, taking down enemies fairly quickly. While he has not used it, Kenshin has been also known to use the Battou-jutsu, a technique used when he was Battousai that allows him to slay his enemies in one swift stroke of his sword.

Kenshin walked along the streets of the city of Jerusalem as he had arrived from Japan by boat. He kept his face hidden by wearing a Japanese sun hat. The Samurai's keen eyes looked around as he then saw a few Templars harassing a civilian. Kenshin stepped forward as he approached them. One Templar turned to him, "This is not your concern, get out of here." Kenshin glared, "I will not allow you to harm a defenseless person, no I won't. You will cease this abuse immediately and you will swear an oath that you will not harm any of these people so as long as you live....." Kenshin kept his voice calm. "FOOL! I will make no such oath!" The Templar turned to his men, "KILL HIM!!" The Templars charged for Kenshin. In one swift move, Kenshin drew his sword, "Ryusosen!!" Kenshin stated as he attacked the Templars with a flurry of strikes with his blade. The Templars had been knocked out as Kenshin then sheathed his sword. He turned to the civilian who was a woman, "You are safe now....may you go in peace." "Thank you! Those Templars would have killed me. You saved my life." The woman then ran off as Kenshin continued his way along the streets.

Kenshin walked along the streets as he came across a crying child. He then walked over to the child, a young boy. The child looked up at Kenshin, "Please help me, I'm lost and I can't find my mother," The child cried. Kenshin smiled warmly as he knelt down to the boy, "Do not worry, I will help you, we will find your mother, that we will," Kenshin replied. Kenshin escorted the child along the streets as a woman called out to them. "MOTHER!" The boy shouted as he ran toward the woman. Mother and child embraced each other as Kenshin looked on with happiness in his heart. The woman looked at Kenshin and cried with tears of joy, "Thank you stranger for finding my child, I was so worried." Kenshin smiled and closed his eyes, "It was no trouble at all miss, I was happy to help, that I was, may you and your child be safe." Kenshin continued his way as he then sat down on a nearby bench. He rested his sword at his side and stared at the ground. His sun hat covering his face in shadow. Kenshin's past began to flood his mind, as memories of him as the Battousai emerged, as well as memories of his beloved wife Tomoe. Kenshin's heart ached, as he attempted to block out the memories. Kenshin had regretted all he had done and that was why he had become a wanderer......in order to protect the ones he cared for and loved.
