Why you want this character?: Leonardo is one of my favorite people from history, both a genius and a intriguing man. When I saw him playing AC2 for the first time, I fanboy'ed all over the room. (Ask Jess, she was there!) Though he is a neutral character, it took a lot of courage for him befriend and outward help Ezio, and much of it was because he loved the pursuit of knowledge for the sake of everyone. (Very much like Tesla of later years.) I guess what I mean to say is, Leo is awesome, and the chance to play him would be great!
AUDITION:
Leonardo was positive that he was going to go blind one day with the intensity that he used to survey anything that required script, sculpt, or discovery. His excitement found him, almost literally, nose to parchment with the encrypted page that had been brought to him, along with the broken, though quite ingenious, bracer hiding a blade in its depths. He nearly outright cackled to himself, as he went back and forth, from his own notes, the codex page, and back to the bracer and hidden blade, flitting like a bee would flit from one flower to the next.
The only thing that surfaced Leonardo from his thoughts and musings was the sudden change in the cadence and timber of Ezio's breathing. Casting his eyes up at the other man, he found that he had actually fallen asleep, perched up in the chair. For a moment, he considered shaking the man awake, and teasing him for his lack of interest in something so brilliantly intellectual, but decided against it. He had a feeling Ezio had a rough few days behind him, and had earned himself the nap. Besides, this just meat that he could take the opportunity to tug on his pigtails some other time. He did find himself adjusting his position at the table, finding a place better to occasionally look up, and catch the what sure to be fleeting look of peace on Ezio's face.
Shaking his head, with a grin, with the moment to peer at Ezio the only thing that gave his pause to his fervor, he returned to work. It was a matter of hours, and he would admit to slowing down some time in the middle to allow his tired friend more time to slumber, but he was finished, ready to present the product to Ezio. On the way around the table, he caught sight of his tool table, and, more specifically, a thick bladed knife used to break particularly harsh pieces of metal. It was a scheme hatched by the devil of his brain, but, squashing the mischevious smile from his features, he picked up the blade, and roused his friend...
“...The blade is designed to ensure the commitment of whoever wields it.”
